Ken Breen, Solicitor

Ken joined the Firm in 2021 and brings over 25 years of experience to the team.

A graduate of the University of Limerick (European Studies – legal), Ken was enrolled as a solicitor in 1995 and has also obtained a Diploma in Social Studies from the University of the Hague and a Certificate in Employment Law and Advocacy from the Law Society of Ireland.

Ken has considerable experience advising, representing and guiding clients on many areas of law and business with a particular emphasis on family law and relationship breakdown and dispute resolution. Ken has a particular expertise in divorce, judicial separation, custody/access matters, maintenance, relocation and co-habitation matters. Ken has advised and represented clients in numerous cases and contentious litigation featuring complex financial and commercial structures and often with cross-jurisdictional issues.

Prior to joining KOD Lyons, Ken worked closely with a number of leading family law firms exclusively in the area of family law and dispute resolution.

In addition to his work as a solicitor, Ken also lectured for the Law Society of Ireland on family law and prepared and presented courses and seminars for a wide variety of client interest groups.
