Loss/Injuries suffered: Lower back and left knee pain.
Circumstances of incident: The client , a restaurant manager, was a front seat passenger , travelling in a vehicle on the 18th of May 2015. The driver was caused to lose control of the vehicle and collided forcefully with a wall.
Gardaí attended the scene and the gentleman was rushed by an ambulance to hospital.
He was absent from work for a period of almost two months.
Case history: The matter was assessed by PIAB on the 3rd June 2016, which was rejected by the client.
Circuit Court proceedings issued on the 23rd November 2016. Liability was accepted for the incident by the insurance company for the driver.
A hearing date was obtained and settlement was reached in advance of that date.
