Elissa Sutherland, Junior Legal Executive

Elissa joined KOD Lyons in May 2022 as part of the Summer Internship Programme. She currently works as a Junior Legal Executive in both the Civil Litigation and Immigration and International Law Departments.
On our Civil Team, Elissa assists in client consultations, court filings, and general correspondence. Within the Immigration Department, Elissa works with our international protection team to assist applicants throughout the entire international protection process.
Prior to joining KOD Lyons, Elissa worked for a number of human rights organizations in the non-profit and academic sector.
Elissa graduated from New York University in 2019 with dual honors degrees in Spanish and Global Liberal Studies with a concentration in Politics, Rights, and Development. She later continued her studies at Trinity College Dublin, receiving first class honors for her LLM in International and Comparative law in 2022.
Elissa is currently in the process of completing her FE1s.
