From Law to Practice: Strengthening Procedural Rights in Police Custody (ProRPC), with specific reference to access to legal aid.
On 21 & 22 June 2022, KOD Lyons Solicitors were invited to attend the ProRPC’s 3rd Regional Conference in Madrid, as the ‘National Experts‘ by the Irish Council for Civil Liberties.
The specific reference at the regional consultation focussed on access to legal aid.
Criminal Defence Practitioners from the Netherlands, Finland, Romania, Austria and Spain were present. As well as academics from Norway and Britain.
The next meeting is set to take place on the 19 & 20 July 2022 in Dublin, focussing on ‘audiovisual recording of interrogations at the police station’.
